Gael H. Rothfuss

Gael H. Rothfuss, 78, of Muncy, died Monday, September 25, 2023 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.

Born August 6, 1945, in Morristown, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late George and Helen M. (Headley) Vial.  On December 9, 1966 she married Ray E. Rothfuss, Jr. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage before his death December 17, 2021.

Gael was a 1963 graduate of Muncy High School.  She worked as a sales representative for Princess House products for 20 years. Most recently, Gael worked in the optical department at the former Sears, Muncy, until its closing.

She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Clarkstown.

Gael enjoyed caring for her houseplants and gardening. She loved reading, especially murder mysteries.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Ray E. III and Angela Rothfuss, of Muncy; one daughter, Christine Rothfuss, of Berlin, MD; one sister, Lynn H. Whaley, of VA; and one grandson, Collin Jay Rothfuss.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one grandson, Austin Reed Rothfuss and one brother, David George Evans Vial.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
