George N. Russell

George N. Russell, 64, of New Columbia, died Saturday, December 17, 2016, at his home.
Born November 4, 1952 in Lewisburg, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Gladys I. (Smith) Russell.
George worked for many years at Zenith, Watsontown until it closed, then was employed by Milton Steel Acro Division.
He was a member of Milton Moose Lodge #171, Lewisburg Son’s of the American Legion Post #182, Northumberland Fire Company No 1, Union County Sportsman’s Club, Weikert and a life member of the Susquehanna Motorcycle Club, Milton.
George lived his life to the fullest; he was set in his ways, but had a heart of gold and helped others if he could. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting, going to yard sales and his guns. George especially loved riding his motorcycle and cooking for his yearly “Fish Fry”.
Surviving in addition to his companion of 20 years, Karen (Gessner) Engelman, of Milton, are a son, George N. Russell, Jr., of Jacksonville, IL; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard N. and Connie Russell, and John E. and Susan Russell, all of  Montandon; one sister, Joanne Brown, of Milton; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by all, especially his hunting friends, Larry, Jay and buddies, Brian, Bim and Russ.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St., Lewisburg, where a funeral service will be held at noon with Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.
