George A. Temple, 77, of Montgomery, died Friday, February 24, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born December 20, 1939 in Bloomsburg, he was a son of the late Arthur Cleveland and Luella Bell (Baker) Temple. On July 12, 1970, he married the former Anna Shiffer, who survives. Together they celebrated 47 years of marriage.
George attended Benton School's. He worked for many years at various local factories and manufacturers.
He attended New Covenant Assembly of God, Montgomery.
George enjoyed doing puzzles with his family and loved to cook.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Roger "Roy" Temple and his fiancé, Melissa Hamilton, of Montgomery, and Steven Temple, of Montgomery; one daughter, Marlene Young and her fiancé, Bill Voegeli, of Hazleton; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one grandchild on the way.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Georgianna Temple; and one brother, Lewis Crosby.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m to Noon Thursday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at Noon with the Rev. James R. Pentz, officiating.
Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church Cemetery, Montgomery.
