Gerald Beck Sr.

Gerald Beck Sr., 92, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Hillside Senior Living, Montoursville.

Born May 31, 1932 in Bloomingdale, NJ, he was a son of the late August and Dorothy (Tintle) Beck.  On April 10, 1991, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 33 years, Lucille Beck. Gerald then married Marilyn Beck, who predeceased him on October 25, 2021, after 29 years of marriage.

He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving four years during the Korean War. Gerald worked for over 20 years at Avdel Corp, NJ, where he made pop rivets, retiring in 1996.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 1, Williamsport. Gerald enjoyed cooking, gardening, and making projects out of wood.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald Jr. and Carole Beck and Kevin and Joan Beck, all of West Milford;  a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Michael Brandt, of Muncy; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Dolly Beck; five grandchildren, Crystal Hawkins, Michael Brandt, Jaclyn Beck, Janice Harris and Gerald Beck III; four great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Kameron, Richard and Tanner; and one great-great-granddaughter, Wrenley.

In addition to his parents and two wives, he was predeceased by eight brothers and three sisters.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.
