Gloria A. Beckley

Gloria A. Beckley, 74, of 44 Brook Dr., Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born October 23, 1942 in Kelly Township, Union County, the daughter of the late Keith E. Berger and Arla G. (Kratzer) Berger, of Lewisburg. On November 10, 1963, she married David L. Beckley, who survives. Together they celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Gloria was a 1960 graduate of Lewisburg High School. She previously worked at the former Sprout-Waldron, now Andritz, in Muncy, the former Bechtel’s Dairy, and the former Pennsylvania House, both of Lewisburg. She retired from the Union County Court House, where she worked in the Assessment Office.

Gloria was a longtime member of Dreisbach United Church of Christ, Lewisburg. An avid quilter, she was a member of the Piecemakers Quilt Guild.

She enjoyed traveling. Most of all, Gloria loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her mother and husband are three sons, Dwayne C. (Kyle Petrove) Beckley, of Grand Lake, CO; Andrew L. Beckley, of Lewisburg and Jonathan R. (Maripaz) Beckley, of Lewisburg; two brothers, Dale K. (Beverly) Berger and Mark S. Berger, all of Lewisburg; two grandchildren, Barrett Beckley and Duke Petrove-Beckley; and five step grandchildren.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by three brothers, Walter E., Galen R. and Brian S. Berger.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, at the Dreisbach United Church of Christ, 875 Dreisbach Church Road, Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at noon, with her pastor, the Rev. Nathan Druckenmiller, officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Dreisbach Church Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the Dreisbach United Church of Christ, 875 Dreisbach Church Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837.

The family is being assisted by the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
