Grace Elaine Fedder, 88, of 6575 Forth St., Bloomsburg, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Columbia Montour Home Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville.
She was born March 20, 1926 in Lime Ridge, a daughter of the late Hebert G. and Mary I. (Shoemaker) Edwards. On October 5, 1946 she married William “Bud” Fedder. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage before his death Dec. 4, 2003.
Grace was a graduate of North Center High School, Bloomsburg and Empire Beauty School, Wilkes-Barre. Earlier in life, she ran a beauty shop on Market St. in Berwick and at her home on Old Berwick Rd., Bloomsburg. She also worked at Consolidated Cigars and for Wise Potato Chips, Berwick. Her last employment was at the former Sunny Hill Preschool, Mifflinville.
A life member of the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church, Grace and her husband were in charge of the Youth Fellowship at the church for many years.
An avid reader, she also enjoyed playing solitaire, watching the Phillies and family get togethers. Her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are four sons and two daughters-in-law, Randy and Georgia Fedder, of Milton, Mark Fedder and David Fedder, both of Lime Ridge and Tim and Cindy Fedder, of Paxinos; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Randy Laubach and Sue and Wayne Golla, all of Mifflinville; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bob Ridgway, of Orangeville; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, P. Atlee and Glen Edwards.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, at the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church, 6405 Forth St., Bloomsburg, with her minister, Pastor Ed Cope, officiating, assisted by Eileen Chapman, lay speaker.
Burial will follow in the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers, and suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church, 6405 Forth St., Bloomsburg, PA 17815 or to AGAPE, P.O. Box 424, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown.
