Harlan A. Pidcoe, Sr, 97, of Watsontown, ended his journey of life on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.
He was born September 23, 1917 in Lycoming County, a son of the late Mark and Edna (Entz) Pidcoe. On June 9, 1939 he married the former Agnes Montgomery, who survives. Together they celebrated 76 years of marriage.
Harlan served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He retired after more than 30 years from the former Avco-Lycoming, now Textron, Williamsport. Following retirement he worked with his son at the former Reds Cycle Shop, Williamsport.
Harlan was a member of Community Christian Church, Allenwood.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Harlan Pidcoe, Jr., of Duboistown, Edna Moorhead, of Montgomery, and Shirley Fitzkee, of Newport; two sisters, Madeline Swinehart, of New Columbia, and Rosanna Richart, of Muncy; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Russel Pidcoe, and several siblings in youth.
In keeping with Harlan’s wishes, there will be no services.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main Street, Watsontown.
