Harold N. Davis, 87, of 107 W. Penn St., Muncy, died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Muncy Valley Hospital emergency room.

Born April 1, 1929 in Yeagertown, he was a son of the late William S. and Freda (Nevel) Davis. On August 21, 1948 he married the former Lucille Johnson, who survives. Together they celebrated 67 years of marriage.

Harold was a graduate of Yeagertown High School and a graduate of Lycoming College, where he received a bachelor of science degree. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served during World War II. Harold worked as the branch manager of the former Commonwealth Bank & Trust for 20 years.

He was a member of the Muncy Presbyterian Church.

Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael S. and Patti Davis, of Florida and Andrew B. and Ruth Davis, of Muncy; a daughter and son-in-law, Mileta S. and Thomas Joe, of Turbotville; brother and sister-in-law, Jesse and Patricia Davis, of Lewistown; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Saundra and Gary Showers and Patricia and Richard Erhard, all of Yeagertown; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, William Davis.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Muncy Presbyterian Church, Washington and Penn Streets, Muncy, with his pastor, the Rev. Robert Dunkelberger, officiating.

Burial will be held privately in the Muncy Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the Muncy Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 276, Muncy, PA 17756.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
