Harry "Max" Mensch

Harry “Max” Mensch, 76, of Milton, died Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born June 25, 1944 in Lewisburg, the son of the late Harry and Arlene (Rowe) Mensch. On February 10, 1968 he married the former Bonnie Jamison, who survives.  Together they celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Max was a 1962 graduate of Milton High School. Following high school, Max enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably for four years. He later retired from ConAgra, Milton in 2006 after 39 years.

He was a member of the VFW Post 1665, Milton and the Milton Fish and Game Association.

Max enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his two great-grandsons, his little buddy, Noah and Caleb.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bob Mensch and his wife, Christina, of New Columbia, David Mensch and his wife, Melodee, of Milton; two daughters, Teri Perry, of Allenwood and Tina Byerly, of Milton; one sister, Sandra Hassinger, of Milton; four grandchildren, Wayne Reich, Jr. and his wife, Sonia, of New Columbia, Chelsea Mensch, of Cincinnati, OH, Faith Mensch and Mikayla Bastian, both of Milton; and two great-grandsons, Caleb and Noah Reich, of New Columbia.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown.
