Harvey D. "Bud" Moyer

Harvey D. “Bud” Moyer, 80, of Muncy, died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born March 9, 1936 in Clarkstown, he was a son of the late Charles and Georgine (Bitler) Moyer. On April 6, 1956 he married the former Mildred Crawford, who survives. Together with 75 friends they celebrated 60 years of marriage this past April at Clarkstown United Methodist Church.

Bud was a 1954 graduate of Muncy High School.  He worked at the former Sprout-Waldron, now Andritz, Muncy.

He was a lifelong member of Clarkstown United Methodist Church, where he served as a lay speaker and held various leadership positions in the church.

Bud also spent most of his life farming, which was his lifelong passion. He also loved spending time with his wife, Millie, his family and his dog, Hunter.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Jane Streeter, of Athens; Dale Moyer and his wife, Kathy, of Selinsgrove, and Keith Moyer and his wife, Chris, of Unityville; one brother and sister-in-law, Sherman and Phyllis Moyer, of New Jersey; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and John McMillan, of New Brighton; five grandchildren, Christopher and Jesse Streeter, Ross Moyer, and Alex and Chawna Carmer; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Clarkstown United Methodist Church, 3117 Clarkstown Rd., Muncy, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with his minister, Pastor Connie Waugh, officiating.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Bud’s name be made Clarkstown United Methodist Church, 3117 Clarkstown Rd., Muncy, PA 17756.
