Helen Lois Rohm, 91, of Muncy, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 9, 2024. She peacefully passed away in the comfort of home, lovingly surrounded by family.

Born August 9, 1932, in South Williamsport, she was one of 11 children and fifth youngest daughter of the late George LeRoy and Mabel Maude (Calvin) McGinniss.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Carlton Rohm, on March 5, 2001. They celebrated 48 years of marriage on July 26, 2000.

After graduation she worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for Grit Publishing and in years following she continued to work in secretarial positions at Sprout Waldron, Richard Michael Insurance Co., Attorneys William & Smay, as well as John Bruch Insurance Co.

Helen loved bowling, doing puzzles, playing cards and board games with family, friends and especially her grandchildren. In later years she looked forward to every Thursday afternoon when her youngest brother Jim and sister-in-law Margie would come play board games and do puzzles. Helen also enjoyed cooking, reading and playing doubles tennis with her cousin Marie Wertman.

Music was always a very important part of Helen’s life. Whether, as a young girl, singing with her sister Lila on the local radio station or later in life being part of a trio at church, with best friends Chloe Mitchell and Carol Jones. Helen’s love of hymns and most especially the Gaither’s were something that brought her great joy. Helen also loved to camp and travel with her husband. They wintered for many years in Florida. After her husband’s passing, Helen then traveled with her sister Mabel and beloved niece Jeanne.

Over the years, Helen volunteered at numerous places, which included Good News Clubs as well as Pregnancy Care Center, now known as Expectations, in Williamsport.

Helen was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church, Muncy, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, was a Youth Group Leader and also helped with the VBS programs.

Surviving are her four daughters, Connie (Jim) Nuss, of Muncy, Cathy (Stan) Hurst, of Carlisle, Sharon (Rev. Mark) Inman, of Michigan, and Laura Wertz, of Muncy; three sisters-in-law, Margie McGinniss, Tanya Hendershot and Karla Rohm-Hanner; 8 beloved grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Noll, Michelle (David) Forsythe, Erin (Andrew) Weber, Jason (Karen) Nuss, Kyle (Katie) Inman, Joshua (Abigail) Hurst, Courtney Shoemaker, and Dana (Samantha) Inman; and 19 beloved great-grandchildren, Elijah Noll, Rebecca Noll, Ryan Forsythe, Aaron John Forsythe, Carter Forsythe, Elise Forsythe, Ezra Nuss, Kaylee Nuss, Emma Weber, Madison Weber, Landon Weber, Josie Inman, Beckett Inman, Lucy Inman, Leland Inman, Rory Inman, Radley Inman, Aubrey Shoemaker and Cooper May.
