Homer E. Coup, 82, of Milton, died Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born April 23, 1937 in Renovo, a son of the late LeeRoy and Emily (Mabus) Coup.
Homer attended school in Lewisburg. He was well known for his 21 years of service as a bartender at the 40 & 8 Club, Milton, where he was also a 61 year member. Homer also worked many years at the former Zenith Corp., Watsontown.
He was a member of the Kratzer-Dull American Legion Post 182, Lewisburg, VFW Post 1665, Milton, the Loyal order of the Moose Lodge 171, Milton, and the former Milton Eagles.
He enjoyed to go bowling and watch his beloved Philadelphia Eagles.
Surviving are three sisters, Edith Barger and Sylvia Snyder, both of Milton, and Mary Buckles, of Sunbury; two brothers, James Coup, of Florida, and LeeRoy Coup, of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Darla Jean Dunkle; and two brothers, Marvin “Butch” Coup and John Coup.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, S. Second and St. Lewis streets, Lewisburg.
Burial will be held privately in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Homer’s memory be made to the 40 & 8 club, 326 Hidden Paradise Rd. Milton, PA 17847. Please specify in the memo to be applied towards the children’s Christmas program.
