Howard F "Bucky" Miller

Howard F. “Bucky” Miller, 66, of 120 N. Washington St., Muncy, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born December 27, 1949 in Muncy a son of the late Howard M. “Bucky” and Pauline (Minnier) Miller. On July 21, 2000, he married the former Gail E. Rathburn, who survives. Together they celebrated 15 years of marriage.

Bucky was a 1967 graduate of Muncy High School. Over the years he completed many courses pertaining to construction and home and auto inspections. He began his working career in home building, operating Miller’s Construction. Bucky worked at Master Contractor’s, Williamsport. He was the owner and operator of Allison-Miller Concrete Products and of the former Bucky’s Restaurant and also worked part-time as a bar tender at the Muncy Legion.

Bucky was a former member of the Muncy Lions Club, where he served as a past officer. He was a former Muncy Creek Township supervisor.

Bucky was a Classic Car and MOPAR enthusiast. He enjoyed participating in the Muncy Legion Annual Fundraiser car show to benefit veteran’s organizations. Bucky was a little league coach and umpired both little league and high school baseball. Living an active life, he was an avid roller skater.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, and daughter-in-law, Seth and Kelly Miller, of Huddleston, Va; a stepson, Robert Miller, of Watsontown; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty A. and George Evelhair, of Pennsdale; and two granddaughters, Leia and Tara Miller, of Huddleston, Va.

Friends will be received from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert W. Rice, of Muncy Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church Cemetery, Montgomery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St. Williamsport, PA 17701 or to the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center, Attn: Volunteer Services, 1111 East End Blvd., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711.
