Isabelle Byrd, 93, of Milton, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Born October 30, 1926 in Mazeppa, she was the last surviving daughter of the late Harry and Minnie (Hauck) Wolfe. On November 25, 1945 she married Alfred I. Byrd, who preceded her in death May 31, 2002. Together they celebrated 56 years of marriage.
Isabelle worked for over 30 years as a waitress at the Lewisburg Inn.
She was a member of Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton.
Isabelle enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, and earlier in life, along with her husband, would sell much of the produce in front of their home.
She was a lifelong member of the Lewisburg Chapter #394 Order of the Eastern Star
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Ginny L. and James Moore, of Montandon; seven grandchildren, Ben Moore, Sheri Brubaker, Beth Baker, Larry Byrd, Lorrie Byrd, Jeremy Byrd and Kevin Heiney; and three great-grandchildren, Kate Aikey, Eben Moore and Sullivan Baker.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Dale L. Byrd; and 12 brothers and sisters.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Davis Chapel of Christ Wesleyan Church, 363 Stamm Rd. Milton where a funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Arlie Davis, officiating. An Order of the Eastern Star service will precede the visitation at 9:45 a.m.
Burial will follow in Montandon Cemetery.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
