Janice B. DiFabbio, 78, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Loyalsock Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
One of six children, she was born October 21, 1936 in Renovo, a daughter of the late Joseph “Bud” and Edith (Weaver) Bratton. On Dec. 29, 1956 she married Stephen A. DiFabbio, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1996 after 39 years of marriage.
She was a 1955 graduate of Renovo High School. A member of the Catholic faith all her life, she devoutly attended church until her failing health prevented her from doing so. Janice enjoyed reading and also spent lots of time gardening.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and William Neidig of Williamsport; one son, Vincent DiFabbio of Kentucky; five grandchildren, Anthony Pasco, Dane DiFabbio, Julian DiFabbio, Shawn Neidig and Jeremy Neidig; and three great-grandchildren, Anina, Zoe and Elijah Pasco.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m., officiated by Rev. Brian Van Fossen, pastor of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Williamsport. The funeral will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery chapel, Hyner. Officiating will be Rev. Charles C. Ugo, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Renovo. Burial will follow the service in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to Loyalsock Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 1445 Sycamore Road, Montoursville, PA 17754. Please indicate that funds should be used to benefit the Maple Court Dementia Wing.
