Jeffery Wayne Miller

Jeffery Wayne Miller, 67, of Gaffney, S.C., and formerly of Montgomery, Pa., passed away July 21, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pa.

He was born November 1, 1956, in Williamsport, Pa., the son of the late Wayne and Alta (Wineguard) Miller. He is survived by his companion and wife of 32 years, the former Linda Swisher.

Jeff was a 1974 graduate of Montgomery High School, and just celebrated his 50th class reunion in June. After High School, he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Construction from Williamsport Community College, and then worked for Grumman for 41 years, before moving to South Carolina in 2016.

Jeff was an avid sports fanatic, enjoying fishing and hunting as well as coaching football for 30 plus years including both Pop Warner Youth and high school teams. He played softball.  He loved Old English bulldogs, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeff was affiliated with the Lutheran Church in Pennsylvania and attended the Methodist Church in South Carolina.

Surviving, in addition to his wife Linda, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Tiffany Miller of Spartanburg, S.C., and Mitchell and Janeeka Miller, of Blacksburg, S.C.; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Madison, Jancsi, and Janos Miller; three great-grandchildren, Camden, Deacon, and Eleanor; one sister, Patty Hendershot; mother-in-law, Romayne Swisher; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Gansell.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sherry Miller; brother-in-law, Gary Hendershot; and father-in-law, Robert Swisher.

Services will be held at Grenoble Funeral Home, Muncy, PA.  Visitation will be on Thursday, July 25th from 6-8p.m. and Friday, July 26th from 10-11:00 a.m.  The service will follow on Friday, July 26th at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Wendy S. Deeben, presiding.  Interment will follow the service at Green Lawn Memorial Park.
