Joann Rebecca Lose

JoAnn Rebecca Lose, 74, of 4100 Springtown Rd., Watsontown, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born August 14, 1941 in Williamsport, a daughter of the late William Aaron and Mary (Fry) Horn. On Dec. 16, 1960, she married W. Dale Lose, who survives. Together they celebrated 54 years of marriage.

JoAnn was a 1959 graduate of the Warrior Run High School. For the past 54 years, JoAnn committed her life to helping her husband and her family on the dairy farm. In addition to her farm duties, she enjoyed working outdoors.

She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Dewart.

Dedicated to family, in addition to her own children she was a mother to many people. JoAnn was genuine and generous, lending help to others was one of her most cherished assets.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Susan Lose, of Watsontown; a daughter, Becky Lose White, of Dewart; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Ann Bryan, of Wilkes-Barre and Carol and Marlin Thomas, of King George, VA; a sister-in-law, Emma Jean Newcomer, of Watsontown; five grandchildren, Aaron (Lindsay) Smith, of Linden, Allen (Elizabeth) Smith, of Muncy, Cynthia Lose, Ryan Lose and Nicholas Lose, all of Watsontown; and three great-grandchildren, Riley, Hannah and Joseph Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the McEwensville Presbyterian Cemetery, McEwensville.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John's United Methodist Church, 49 River Rd., Dewart, PA 17730.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown.
