Joanne Wagner, 74, of Lewisburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 4, 2016 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born November 10, 1941 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Scholl) Arner. Joanne and her husband, Robert L. “Bob” Wagner, celebrated 13 years of marriage before his death on December 30, 2015.
Joanne attended Lewisburg schools. She retired from the Country Cupboard, where she worked in both retail and lodging.
She was a member of the Community Christian Church of Vicksburg.
Joanne was very intrigued and loved learning about Southern history. She loved collecting and going antiquing. Joanne also enjoyed going to the beach, reading books and working in her flower gardens. Most of all, her life revolved around her children.
Surviving are three sons, Todd Garman, of York, Chris Garman, of Danville and Gregg Garman, of Northumberland; a step son, Lanny Wagner and his wife, Lynn, of Lewisburg; a sister, Gloria Laird, of Lewisburg; four grandchildren, Erin Moffit, Brittany Haulman, Jasmine Hopp and Joey Garman; one step grandchild, Riley Wagner; and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Hamilton and Wanda VanBuskirk and a brother-in-law, Robert Laird.
Friends will be received from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, S. Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m., with her minister, Pastor Jeffrey Yount, officiating.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
The family welcomes flowers, however, if desired, memorial contributions be made to the Community Christian Church, 6460 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, PA 17844
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St. Lewisburg.
