Joyce Ferreira, 71, died Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born March 31, 1952 in Fall River, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mae (Broadhurst) Ferreira.
Joyce spent much of her life raising and caring for her family. When in her twenties, Joyce settled in Dover, Delaware and resided there until 2021, when she moved to be next to her daughter in Hughesville.
She loved music, especially the oldies and country. Joyce welcomed the opportunity to sing along with any song using her beautiful voice. Her favorite song was Angel Eyes.
Surviving are her companion of 20 years, John Blackburn, of Hughesville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tabitha and Greg Foltz, of Hughesville and Shelley and Eddie Cordivano, of Felton, Del.; four sisters, Carol Nolin, of Fall River, Mass., Beverly Ferreira, of San Antonio, TX, Patricia Champagne, of Virginia Beach, VA and Mary Kehoe, of Vermont; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Linda Ferreira, of Tacoma, Wash.; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Little Bernie Curran and a daughter, Susan Falise.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 5 p.m.
Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2023 at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Rt. 405, Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray costs.
