Judy A. Rider

Judy A. Rider, 77, of Muncy, died Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born November 4, 1946, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Gardner) Nixon.  On June 24, 1967, she married Larry C. Rider who predeceased her on January 5, 2021.  Together they celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Judy was a 1964 graduate of Muncy High School.  She worked at Montgomery Mills in her younger years, before raising and caring for her family.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Muncy.

Judy enjoyed camping with her husband and playing cards.  She also cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

Surviving is a son, John Rider, of Muncy, a daughter, Jan Lamper; and two grandchildren, Nixon and Ashlyn Lamper.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one sister, Jan Madison.

The family is planning a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 6 at First United Methodist Church, Muncy.  Friends will be received from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.

There will also be luncheon at the church following the service for a continued time of fellowship.
