June Arlene Guisewhite, 84, of 25 Shick Rd., Muncy, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at her home.

Born October 29, 1929 in Milton, she was a daughter of the late Earl T. and Grace D. (Shuman) Mathias. On March 31, 1949 she married Lee Calvin Guisewhite. Together they celebrated 50 years of marriage before his death October 26, 1999.

June previously worked as a sewer at the former Modecraft, Muncy and as an assembler at GTE Sylvania, Montoursville.

She was a member of the Muncy Baptist Church and the Monsey Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star 481.

June was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, camping and traveling to Florida. In her younger years she loved snowmobiling.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Stephen Reich, of Williamsport and Janet and Jack Zimmerman, of Muncy; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Emily McCormick, of Williamsport and Doris and Richard Winter, of Watsontown; twin granddaughters, Sharon Horvath and her husband, Kevin, and Shelby Eichenlaub and her husband, Ted, all of Bethlehem; and three great-grandsons, Evan Eichenlaub and Thomas and Maxwell Horvath.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, John C. Reich in 2001.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, with the Rev, Robert W. Rice, officiating.

Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers, and suggests memorial contributions be made to the Susquehanna Health Foundation, c/o Hospice, 1001 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport, PA 17701.
