Kenneth R. Osipower

Kenneth R. Osipower, 87, died Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.

He was born in Bucks County on January 8, 1935, the son of the late Rudolph and Marian (Knisely) Osipower. On December 14, 1957 he married the former Carol Hughes, who preceded him in death on February 24, 1994.

Kenneth was a graduate of Quakertown High school and a 1956 graduate of the University of Miami,

Florida. Following college, he served honorably in the United States Army. While he was raising his family in Bethlehem, PA, Ken taught junior high school students for 33 years in the Nazareth Area School district, retiring in 1990. During that time, he was a member of the Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Company. Ken also enjoyed leather crafting. After retiring from teaching, he became a full time “RVer”, selling his house and traveling all over the country.

He is survived by his children, David Scott Osipower, of Saylorsburg, PA, Susan Sedgewick and her husband, James, of New Hampshire, Lori Himes and her husband, David, of Lewisburg, PA, and Lisa Dart and her boyfriend, Dwayne Hunsicker, of Jim Thorpe, PA; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services are being held privately at the convenience of the family.
