Kyle Timothy “KJ” Johnson, 30, of Muncy, died unexpectedly Friday, April 13, 2018 at his home.
Born June 7, 1987 in Williamsport, he was a son of Shawn and Wendy (Watts) Johnson, of Muncy.
Kyle was a 2005 graduate of Muncy High School, where he excelled in wrestling. He was the first wrestler in Muncy history to reach 100 wins, was a district four champion, and was a three time sectional champion More recently, Kyle loved coaching younger kids in wrestling.
In his free time, Kyle enjoyed to read as well as learn, write and listen to music. Most important to him was spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Kyle had also obtained his real estate license.
Surviving in addition to his parents are one brother, Coy Johnson, of Muncy; five sisters, Courtney Johnson and her husband, Terry, Corrina Foust and her husband, Christopher, and Darian and Nicolette Johnson, all of Muncy, and Sabrina Johnson and her fiancé, Colin Hopkins, of Tunkhannock; and maternal grandparents, Donald and Carol Hill, of Clarkstown.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather; paternal grandparents; a nephew, Blake Moore; and an aunt, Ivy Johnson.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
The family is also planning a memorial service to be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Clarkstown United Methodist Church, 3117 Clarkstown Rd., Muncy, where a meal and time of fellowship will follow.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in KJ’s name be made to Grenoble Funeral Home to help defray expenses.
