Laurie Joan Garvey, Sr.

Laurie Joan Garvey, Sr, 58, of 77 Hess Hill Rd., Danville, died Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.

Born April 20, 1957 in New York City, NY, she was a daughter of the late Lauren Wayne and Mary Katherine (Kirwin) Faulkner.

Laurie was a graduate of Annandale High School, Annandale, VA and the McCann School of Business, Sunbury, where she received a degree in business management.

She worked as a cashier and shift leader at the Sunoco A+ Station, Fourth and Arch streets, Sunbury.

Laurie was an avid purse and hat collector. She also enjoyed thrift store shopping.

Surviving are four daughters, Lisa Rainey, of Sidney, OH, Laurie Garvey, Jr., of Bloomsburg, Emily Frederick, of Muncy and Bekky Herrold and her companion, Dwayne Hess, of Danville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Katie Faulkner and William Arcand, of Florence, Mass. and Anne Faulkner and Michael Evitts, of Baltimore, MD; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Lara Faulkner, of Baltimore, MD; and eleven grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, Josh Frederick.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, S. Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert W. Rice, pastor of Muncy Baptist Church.
