Lewis F. "Sammy" Rheppard, Sr.

Lewis F. “Sammy” Rheppard, Sr., 80, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
He was born January 30, 1934 in Winfield, a son of the late Oliver LeRoy and Alma Lena (Boney) Rheppard. On October 1, 2004 he married the former Janice P. Hickman, who survives. Together they celebrated 10 years of marriage.
Sammy attended school in Lewisburg. He retired after 17 years working in maintenance at Vineland Developmental Center, NJ.
Sammy enjoyed spending time with his family. He also had a love for animals, especially his cat, Lucky.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son and daughter-in-law, Lewis F. and Cheryl Rheppard, of Troy; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Dennis Abriola, of Vineland, NJ; one brother, Charles D. Boney, of Southport, NC; two sisters, Olive M. Frederick, of Mifflinburg and Elizabeth Waltman, of Clayton, DE; six stepchildren, six grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Carl D. Rheppard and Maurice A. Rheppard.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St., Lewisburg, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Corey Mitchell of Winfield Baptist Church, officiating
Burial will follow in Winfield Cemetery.
