Lisa A. Snyder

Lisa A. Snyder, 54, of Muncy, died peacefully Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.

Born March 19, 1969 in Sunbury, she was a daughter of the late Clarence E. Wolfgang, Sr. and Lois F. (Gross) Wolfgang, who survives. On May 6, 1995 she married Charles H. “Charlie” Snyder, Jr. Together they celebrated 28 years of marriage.

Lisa was a 1987 graduate of Shikellamy High School. She received a certificate in Histology from the former program at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Lisa started her career as a Histotechnician at Divine Providence Hospital in 1991. When the departments merged with the former Williamsport Hospital, she continued her career in histology taking on the role as supervisor until her illness prevented her from working.

Lisa attended the Church of the Resurrection, Muncy. She was a member of the Muncy Women’s Club.

She enjoyed going to the YMCA and participating in the Live Strong program. Lisa loved spending time with her family and friends, especially traveling to  Germany and Italy, going on cruises and seeking adventure in several states including Long Beach Island, NJ. Her favorite girls trips were to Pigeon Forge, TN and Gatlinburg, TN.

Surviving in addition to her mother and husband, both of Muncy are two daughters and one son-in-law, Karrie and Jordan Tillotson and Kassidy Snyder, all of Muncy; three siblings and their spouses, Clarence Wolfgang, Jr., Doris and Rich O’Neill and Wayne and Jane Wolfgang, all of Muncy; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, with Father Sean Carpenter, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Lisa’s name be made to either the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701 or to Laura’s Hope, 3385 Forest St., Hop Bottom, PA 18824.
