Lorraine V. Gundrum, 92, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Riverwoods.
Born June 15, 1922 in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Litz) Vollman. On June 6, 1942 she married John Harry Gundrum. Together they celebrated 71 years of marriage before his death July 16, 2013.
Lorraine was a graduate of Bethlehem Liberty High School. During World War II she worked as a secretary in the Ordnance department at the U.S. Marietta Depot. She later worked as a secretary for the Lampeter-Strasburg School district.
She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mifflinburg and previously of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Harry Joseph and Joyce Gundrum, of Lancaster and John Charles Gundrum, of Lewisburg; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Audrey and Bill Vanderhoof, of Watsontown and Leatrice Soldo, of Bethlehem.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Gordon Vollman.
A private graveside service will be held in Muncy Cemetery with Rev. Peter Bergstresser of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mifflinburg, officiating.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 404 Market Street, Mifflinburg, PA 17784.
The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
