Louise V. "Lois" Wright, 76, of 83 Main St., Turbotville, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born December 29, 1937 in Shamokin, the daughter of Dominick C. and Dorothea M. (Smeltz) Choplick. On September 14, 1963 she married Charles A. "Pete" Wright, who survives. Together they celebrated nearly 51 years of marriage.

Lois attended High School in Coal Township. She worked as an Avon sales representative for many years earning President's Club status.  Lois also volunteered at the former Fuller's General Store, Turbotville.

She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Turbotville.

Lois was very fond of her cats and dogs and rescued many strays.  She was a member of the Thursday club of Paradise Valley and the Turbotville Civic Club.  Lois enjoyed dancing polka, which is how she met her husband.  She loved travelling to Georgia to see her daughter as well as trips to Atlantic City, cruises and the beach.  She also enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, going to dinner and theatre shows and taking her grandchildren to the park.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Robin Wright and wife Bonita, of Cameron, NC, Donna Wright Dietterick, of Atlanta, GA, and Richard Wright and wife Tracie, of Montgomery, PA; and eight grandchildren, Charlon, Danielle, Jordin, Zayne, Mason, Sarah, Nick and Stevie.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastoral associate of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steven Middernacht, officiating.

Burial will follow in Turbotville Cemetery.
