Lucille Marguritte Bruss, 96, of 3201 River Rd., Lewisburg, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born January 6, 1918 in Milton, a daughter of the late Warren Ward and Hazel Edna (Reigle) Bostian. On June 1, 1938 she married Charles James Bruss, who preceded her in death.

Lucille attended Milton and Lewisburg schools. She worked as a laborer at the former JPM, Lewisburg for 27 years.

Lucille was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milton.

She enjoyed crocheting and making crafts.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Joan Bruss, of Stroudsburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Marlin Frederick, of Milton; a brother, Roland Bostian, of Lewisburg; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Loretta Kifolo and Majele Edwards and a brother, Fred Bostian in infancy.

A private graveside service will be held at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy, with her minister, Pastor Patricia Pittsnogle, officiating.

The family will provide flowers and suggests memorial contributions to be made to either Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1125 Mahoning St., Milton, PA 17847 or to the SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701 or to a charity of one’s choice.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, S. Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.
