Marcelo "Sleepy" Sanchez-Santiago, 31, of Watsontown was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 9, 2016.
He was born February 6, 1985 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Pedro, Sr. and Elizabeth (Santiago) Sanchez.
Marcelo graduated from Tom's River South high school, Toms River, New Jersey.
He enjoyed watching movies, playing video games and had a passion for sports. He played basketball and football in high school. He also loved WWE wrestling, and his favorite wrestlers were The Ultimate Warrior and Macho Man Randy Savage.
Marcelo was very family oriented and was loved and adored by everybody that knew him. He always put everybody before himself, especially his nieces and nephews!
Surviving are his fiancé, Breanna M. Walburn, of Watsontown; one son, Isaiah Devante Sanchez, of NJ; two brothers, Rafael Vigo, of Mt Carmel and Andre M. Vigo, of NJ; three sisters, Victoria Sanchez, of MD, Gracia Barreto, of FL and Tina Barreto, of NY; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Pedro Sanchez, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, with pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating.
