Margaret R. "Peggy" Harman

Margaret R. “Peggy” Harman, 78, of Muncy, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born August 5, 1938 in Coudersport, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Doris (Hall) Robb. She and her husband, Patrick W. Harman, celebrated 50 years of marriage before his death September 4, 2014.

Peggy was a graduate of Hughesville High School. She worked as a clerical supervisor for 44 years with the Lycoming County Assistance Office, which included training employees in other area offices.

Peggy was a member of the New Hope Community Fellowship, Pennsdale. She was a member and former treasurer for the Stonecroft Christian Women.

Peggy enjoyed gardening, especially caring for her flowers. She loved playing cards, especially Quiddler and was a competitive Chinese checkers player who rarely lost. She was fond of word search and jigsaw puzzles. Peggy was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. She enjoyed collecting Wade and Precious Moments figurines. Most of all, Peggy loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are a daughter, Ellen M. Harman, of Muncy; son and daughter-in-law, Allen W. and Monna M. Harman, of Catawissa; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Eileen Robb, of Muncy; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Nancy Jarrett and Shirley and Charles “Mike” Lose, all of Muncy; a sister-in-law, Carol Robb, of Maine; two grandchildren, Kayla M. McGinnis and Brendan M. McGinnis and his fiancé, Lacey Swisher; and four great-grandchildren, Jayce K. Reed, Chloe R. McGinnis, Sydney M. McGinnis and Ethan R. Brown.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Robb and a brother-in-law, Robert Jarrett.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, with Ray Plotts, Elder and James Nuss, Elder, both of New Hope Community Fellowship, officiating.

Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
