Margaret V. “Sis” Richmond, 89, formerly of Grampian Boulevard, Loyalsock Township and the Meadows, died Friday, February 19, 2016 at Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville.
Born July 1, 1926 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Alice (Walter) Bower. On December 11, 1992 she married Logan Richmond, who preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 2009 after 16 years.
While attending South Williamsport High School she worked as a waitress at the former Mark Restaurant in South Williamsport. Following graduation in 1944 she worked in the office at the former Grit Publishing Co. in Williamsport until 1952, and later was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Co in their office from 1978 until retiring in 1990.
Sis was a member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Williamsport, where she was an active participant in the Altar & Rosary Society and helped with the church rummage sales. She also was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis Hahn and wife Sandy of Williamsport and David Hahn and wife Jamie of Montoursville; one daughter, Mary A. Hahn Shuck and husband Jim of Huntingdon; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Hahn Reblitz and husband Mark, Dennis Hahn, Jr., Stacy Hahn and companion Scott Fisher, Johni Lynn Bradney and husband Steven, Alicia Hahn-Murphy and husband Sean, Kara Moyer and husband Bradley, Jason Hahn, Jenna D. Shuck Weyandt and husband Clyde, and Leah Shuck; three great-grandchildren, Hayden Reblitz, Quinn Bradney and Troy Hunter Weyandt; two brothers, Paul Bower and wife Beverly of South Williamsport, and Charles Bower and wife Shirley of Williamsport; one sister, Theresa Konkle and husband Jim of South Williamsport; one brother-in-law, Frank Stetts of Williamsport, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Logan, she was predeceased by her first husband, Calvin C. Hahn; one daughter, Diane E. Hahn; and one sister, Eleanor “Honey” Stetts.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where a rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport. Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. John J. Victoria.
Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville.
