Margaret Joyce Snyder

Margaret Joyce Snyder, 77, of 1105 Main St., Watsontown,  passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born November 14, 1938 in Goosetown, PA a daughter of the late Hunter M. Simpson, Sr. and Martha Sue (Folk) Simpson.

Margaret worked at Furman's, Northumberland and enjoyed babysitting.

She was a former member of the Watsontown Baptist Church. Margaret was a life member of the Allenwood Fire Company and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #171, Milton, where she played in the shuffleboard league.

She loved going to Knoebles and to carnivals to listen to the music. An avid fan of Elvis, she enjoyed listening to his music, as well as other country artists.

Surviving are three daughters, Donna K. Snyder, Susan K. Richardson and Sharon E. Hall, all of Watsontown; three sons and one daughter-in-law, John H. and Lisa Snyder, of Harrisburg, Mark A. Snyder, of Milton and James G. Snyder, of PA; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Sonny Simpson, Jr. and Bea Simpson and Robert and Sharon Simpson, all of Watsontown and Harry and Patti Simpson, of White Deer; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Liz Lloyd and Gerald Lloyd, Sr. of Mazeppa and Lois and Karl Snyder, of Milton; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Ione Simpson and a son-in-law, the Rev. Robert Richardson, Sr.

Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow in the Watsontown Cemetery.
