Marian J. Lupold

Marian J. Lupold, 94, of Lewisburg and formerly of Allenwood, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born December 18, 1919 in Allenwood, a daughter of the late Robert D. and Alta M. (Shopbell) Overdorf. On Dec. 4, 1943 she married Forrest W. Lupold, who preceded her in death Jan. 24, 1981.

Marian was a 1939 graduate of Watsontown High School. She worked as a nurses aid at the former Kramm's, now Watsontown Health & Rehab. Center, and retired from the former Montgomery Mills, where she worked as a spooler.

Marian was a member of the White Deer Valley Baptist Church and a member of the former Allenwood Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Earlier in life, she enjoyed being a 4-H leader. Marian loved gardening and reading.

Surviving are a daughter & son-in-law, Mary Ann and John Biddinger, of Watsontown; a sister, Mildred Kennedy, of Watsontown; two granddaughters, Lucinda Bomberger and her husband Doug, of Watsontown and Janel Biddinger, of Lewisburg; and four great-grandchildren, Codey, Sofia, Summer and Keegan.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Thelma Waring.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the White Deer Valley Baptist Church, 572 White Deer Valley Baptist Church Rd., Allenwood, where the funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. James R. Ritter, pastor of the Watsontown Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in Watsontown Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the White Deer Valley Baptist Church, 572 White Deer Valley Baptist Church Rd., Allenwood, PA 17810.
