Marlene Y. Morrison

April 17, 1929 — October 30, 2017

Marlene Y. Morrison, 88, of 1357 Lake Road, Factoryville, wife, mother and "Nunna" went to be with her Lord, Monday, October 30, 2017 following a brief stay at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, Pa.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Bernard whom had been her loving soul mate and constant companion for 69 years. Having married on March 17, 1948 they reared a family of three consisting of sons, David E., Stephen W. (deceased) and daughter LuAnn Habuda.

Born April 17, 1929, Marlene was the daughter of Lynn M. and Sadie M. Sechler Ditty of Montgomery, PA.  She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1947. She was a former employee of Montgomery Mills and also worked as a personal caregiver.

Marlene was a member of St. John's Lutheran - Brick Church as well as a lifelong member of the former Christ Lutheran Church, Montgomery.

Surviving Marlene are one son, David E. Morrison and wife Cindy of Factoryville, daughter LuAnn Habuda and husband David of Bixby, Oklahoma, daughter-in-law, Kim Morrison of Montgomery, Pa.  Six grand children, Joshua, Matt and his wife Sarah, Collin, Chris and his wife Rachel, Jamie and Sara Beth and her husband Randy, and six great-grandchildren, Isaac, Levi, Blake, Ethan, Harper and James.  She also leaves several nieces and nephews to recall the many joyous occasions they shared together at the lake.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Elmer Ditty, William Ditty and her son Stephen Morrison.

The Morrison family wishes to thank all the wonderful friends and family who shared their time on earth at Marlene's table, eating, laughing often and loving much.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date at St. John's Lutheran Brick Church at the convenience of the family.
