Mary E. Berge, 81, of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born May 2, 1933 in Winfield, a daughter of the late Henry Sr. and Alverta (Fisher) Roush. On October 24, 1953 she married Clair R. Berge, who preceded her in death September 1, 2012. Together they celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Mary was a graduate of Freeburg high school and worked as a Nurses Aide, retiring from Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Lewisburg.
Mary enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. She was fond of flowers and working in her garden. Most important to Mary was her grandchildren.
Surviving are one son, Cameron Berge, of Milton; one sister, Deb Roush, of Shamokin; two grandchildren, Kayla and Kurtis Berge; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden Shambach and Brantley Berge.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by one brother, Henry Roush, Jr. and one sister, Nancy Spriggle.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Fairview Cemetery, Freeburg, with her minister, Rev. Gregory A Kramer, officiating.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St. Lewisburg.
