Maryalice Dock, 85, of Lewisburg went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2016 at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.
The last of her family, she was born December 5, 1930 in Danville, the daughter of the late John W. and Myrtle (Snyder) Rimert. On May 20, 1950, she was married to Charles F. Dock, who preceded her in death June 18, 2008. Together they celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Maryalice grew up in Buffalo Crossroads and attended a one room schoolhouse. She graduated from Lewisburg High school in 1949 with honors.
She worked for the former Pennsylvania House in the office. Maryalice later worked side by side with her husband to establish Dock View Dairy farm, which they ran with their family for many years.
Maryalice was a former member of the United Methodist Church of Mazeppa and later St. John’s United Church of Christ, Lewisburg.
She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, the American Cancer Society, Union County Historical Society and the Order of the Amaranth, Milton.
Maryalice loved gardening, sewing, and needlepoint. She had an interest for the history of the area and loved to conduct guided tours.
She had an active and fulfilling life and will be missed by friends and family.
Surviving are her children, Gregory Dock, of Orange City, FL, Kevin Dock and his wife, Debbie, of Lewisburg and Pamela Sobol and her husband, Jeff, of Mifflinburg; one daughter-in-law, L'Anna Dock, of Giddings, TX; nine grandchildren, Thomas Denius, of Austin, TX, Alisha Nicks and her husband, Bobby, of Giddings, TX, Alan Dock and his wife, Amanda, of Bryan, TX, Samantha Dock Herbster and her husband, Nick, of Harrisburg, K. Eric Dock, of Lewisburg, Alaina Dock, of Giddings, TX, Adam Dock, of Giddings, TX, Angie Sobol Lowry and her husband, Sean, of Baltimore, MD, and Josh Sobol and his wife, Amber, of Lewisburg; and six great-grandchildren, Audrey and Robert Nicks, Maddie Dock, Norah Lowry, Blake and Wyatt Sobol.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one son, C. Jeffery Dock.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1050 Buffalo Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St., Lewisburg.
