M. Marie Lewis

M. Marie Lewis, 81, a longtime resident of Muncy, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Born December 27, 1934 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Clark L. and Anna M. (Turner) Dimm. On December 2, 1962, she married Fredrick E. Lewis. Together they celebrated 48 years of marriage before his death June 1, 2010.

Marie was a graduate of Muncy High School.

She worked in the nursery at the Muncy Valley Hospital before marriage. Marie also worked as an Avon Representative for 32 years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Muncy, where she loved volunteering and helping. Marie also served as lay leader for 20 years and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Muncy, PA chapter.

Surviving are one sister Lucille Lockard, of Muncy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Donald H. and John F. Dimm and two sisters, Rebecca “Nana” Musser and Martha Spring.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, at the First United Methodist Church, 602 S. Market St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Arlene Beechert, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church, 602 S. Market St., Muncy, PA 17756.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
