Nancy Louise Smith

Nancy Louise Smith, 82, of 122 Cookie Dr., Muncy, died Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born August 9, 1937 in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late Arden and Sophia (McGargle) Smith. On Dec. 28, 2003, she married Dominick E. Tantalo, who survives. Together they celebrated 16 years of marriage.

Nancy attended high school in Muncy and Turbotville.

She worked as a receptionist at the former Sprout-Waldron, now Andritz, for 31 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. During that time she also worked at Sears for 10 years.

Nancy was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Muncy.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Dawn Strickland, of Benton; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Dorothy Hawley, of Muncy and Daniel and Stacey Hawley, of Chino Hills, CA; six grandchildren, Steven (Sharisse) Gardner, Angie (Aaron) Fisher, David Jr. and Michelle Hawley, and Danielle and Derek Hawley; and six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Jaiden, Spencer, River, Nichole and Brynn.

Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. with her pastor the Rev. Chris Raiford, officiating.
