Norma L. Strickland, 82, of Milton, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born September 3, 1933 in Columbia County, a daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Sherwood) Starr. Norma and her husband, Kenneth Strickland, were married December 31, 1952. Together they celebrated 49 years of marriage before his death July 8, 2002.
Norma was a graduate of Benton High School and Geisinger School of Nursing. She retired from Riverwoods as a LPN.
She was a member of Montandon Baptist Church.
Norma enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry Strickland, of Lewisburg and Gary and Lori Strickland, of Milton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Patti Enery, of Mifflinburg and Lisa and Marlin Rabuck, of Shamokin; two sisters, Lois Haas, of White Deer and Gloria Saab, of Millville; seven grandchildren, John, Brandy, Emily, Shaun, Lance, Breonna and Burgandee; four great-grandchildren, Zephrey, Trey, Logan and Keira and her beloved dog, Toby.
In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was predeceased by four sisters, Eleanor, Betty, Ruth and Connie; one brother, William and one grandson, Christopher.
Friends will be received 11 to Noon Saturday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St., Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at Noon with her minister, Pastor Tom Marker, officiating.
Burial will follow in Montandon Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Montandon Baptist Church, 257 Main St. Montandon, PA 17850.
