O. Lucille Campbell

O. Lucille Campbell, 89, of 1041 E. Penn St., Muncy, died Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.

Born August 13, 1927 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Harry W. and Olive L. (Buck) Eichenlaub. On February 14, 1947, she married Robert N. “Bob” Campbell, who died April 15, 2016. Together they celebrated 69 years of marriage.

Lucille was a 1946 graduate of Muncy High School.  She worked at the former Carroll House Department Store and former Dow’s Pharmacy, both of Muncy.  She spent most of her time raising and caring for her family, as that was always her first priority.

She was the longest living member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Muncy, where she was formerly the supervisor for Bible School and well known for decorating the church at Christmas time.

Lucille was a past leader of the Brownie and Girl Scouts, a member of PTA and a 60-year member of the Beta Sigma Phi Chapter, Laureate Epsilon Pi Sorority.

She was an avid reader and baker.  Lucille cherished Christmas and was well known for her decorating, baking cookies and bringing joy to the holiday season.

Surviving are four children and their spouses, Susan Jean and Jim Bralich, of Bolton Valley, Vermont, Peggy C. and Jay Schively, of Williamsport, Roger N. and Cathie Campbell, of Muncy and Bette Jo and Ronald Gill, of Upperco, Maryland; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by six brothers, Donald, Milnor, Benton, John, Joseph and Marvin Eichenlaub; three sisters, Beatrice Anderson, Madeline Sheets and Betty Burkholder; and a great-grandson, Logan Robert Gill.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to Noon on Thursday at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 201 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral service will be held at Noon with Pastor Daniel Landin, officiating.

Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

The family welcomes flowers, however, if desired, contributions in Lucille’s name may be made to the Muncy Public Library, 108 S. Main St., Muncy, PA 17756.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
