Paul Vincent Bower

December 31, 1929 — July 24, 2019

Paul Vincent Bower, 89, of South Williamsport died Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born December 31, 1929, in South Williamsport, he was a son of the late Paul J. and Alice (Walter) Bower. On April 16, 1947, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, he married the love of his life, the former Beverly Ann Webb, who survives. Together they celebrated 72 years of marriage.

Paul was a 1947 graduate of South Williamsport High School and later earned a two year degree in Electrical Technology from the former Williamsport Area Community College.  Early in life he worked as a driver and salesman for East End Dairy.   In 1970 he began working at the Williamsport Hospital as an electrician in the maintenance department, retiring in 1992 after 22 years.

A devout Catholic, he was a member of St. Lawrence Church, involved in many church activities through the years.  Paul also served as a  janitor at both St. Lawrence and Annunciation Catholic churches.
