Paul H. Cizek, 97, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.
He was born April 18, 1927, in Germania, a son of the late John and Anna (Sykora) Cizek. On February 10, 1962, he married the former Ellen Metje, who preceded him in death.
Paul was drafted to the Army and served during WWII. Following this time in the service, he would start his own well drilling business, Paul H. Cizek Well Drilling. Paul owned and operated this for many years until his retirement.
Surviving are a son, Randy R. Cizek, of Covington; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura E. and Thomas Radawiec, of Red Lion and Sally A. and Joe Burget, of Duncannon; three grandchildren, Zachary Cizek and Andrew and Grace Burget; one great-granddaughter, Rayne Cizek; close friends, Barbara Goss and Linda Hoffer and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon and Norman Cizek; sister, Helen Wagner and companion, Madeline Renard.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, August 9 at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Dearing, officiating.
Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
