Pauline E. Hauck, 92, of Colonel John Kelly Rd., Lewisburg, went on her journey home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Watsontown Nursing & Rehab Center.
She was born November 23, 1922 in Danville, a daughter of the late Wilmer C. and Margaret (Hawkey) Minium. On March 29, 1946 she married Charles Edward Hauck, who preceded her in death on June 13, 2005.
Pauline attended Moore’s School House. She worked as a waitress at the former Dynamite Restaurant in Lewisburg and later as a cook in the cafeteria at Kelly Elementary for 10 years. Her most noted accomplishment was that of being a farmer’s wife, of which she was very proud.
Pauline was a member of the United in Christ Lutheran Church, Lewisburg where she was active in the woman’s sewing group.
She was a member of the Lewisburg Chapter #394 Order of the Eastern Star, the Lewisburg Young Farmers Association and the White Deer Grange. Her favorite pastimes included cooking, gardening and caring for her cats
Surviving are five children and their spouses, Shirley M. Anderson, of Bessimer City, NC, Willard N. and Pam Hauck, of Lewisburg, Linda L. and William Harris, of Morganton, NC, Dale E. and Nancy Hauck, of Lewisburg and Roy C. and Cheryl Hauck, of Mechanicsville, MD; a stepson and his wife, Glenn E. and Pat Hauck, of Lewisburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Nelson and Esther Minium, of Milton and Melvin Sr. and Mary Baker, of West Milton; a sister and brother-in-law, Verdilla and Walt Heddings, of West Milton; 13 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 59 years and her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Robert Criswell, Kenneth Baker Sr., Harold Baker and Floyd Baker; and three sisters, Cornelia Price, Beatrice Rice and Patricia Kerstetter.
Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the United in Christ Lutheran Church, 1875 Church’s Rd., Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m., with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Leah Schade, officiating.
Burial will follow in Church Hill Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Pauline’s name be made to United in Christ Lutheran Church, Youth Fund, 1875 Church’s Rd., Lewisburg, PA 17837.
