Peggy L. Biles, 90, formerly of Montgomery and most recently of Milton, died Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Born April 27, 1932 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Laura (Moody) Cowher. On December 31, 1949 she married Theodore “Ted” Biles who preceded her in death on October 1, 2006. Together they celebrated 56 years of marriage.
Peggy worked in the Food Service industry for Scott Paper and the Franklin Mint. She also worked for the Kirklyn Pharmacy and volunteered with taking care of the elderly at various hospitals.
She formerly attended Church of the Resurrection, Muncy.
Peggy loved to attend yard sales and listen to music in her free time. She was fond of animals, especially her pet cat, Teddy. Most importantly, Peggy was the matriarch of her family, and loved spending time with them.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy (David) Jefferies, of Watsontown and Deborah (Stephen) Tatum, of Mickleton, NJ; one brother, Charles (Amy) Cowher, of Rauchtown; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Majcher, Shannon (Gregory) MacAdam and Stephen (Amanda) Tatum; and eight great-grandchildren, Madison, Mikaela, Kaden and Kael Majcher, Michael and Megan MacAdam, and Jocelyn and Matthew Tatum.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, Donald Biles; and four siblings, Larry, Arthur, Jacquelyn and Nancy.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 15 in Resurrection Cemetery, 4323 Lycoming Mall Drive, Montoursville, with the Rev. Glenn McCreary, officiating.
The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
