Penimarie M. “Peni” Walters, 74, formerly of Sunbury, most recently Lewisburg, died April 28, 2020 at The Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
She was born April 4, 1946 in Sunbury, the daughter of the late John Franklin and Nellie Marie (Brown) Kingston. On September 7, 1963 she married Charles “Bill” Walters, who preceded her in death on May 3, 2005. Together they celebrated 41 years of marriage.
Peni attended Sunbury schools.
She was a faithful member of Montandon Baptist Church.
Peni enjoyed scrapbooking and camping and loved all of her animals.
Most importantly, she cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by one son, Charles W. Walters Jr. and his fiancé, Heidi Gardner, of Northumberland; one daughter, Jona Mowery and her husband, Scott, of Mifflinburg; nine grandchildren, Megan, Rebecca, Skyler, Kelby, Charlie, Cheyenne, Ethan, Jazmyne and McKinley and five great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Oden, DJ, Liam and Addie.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Frank and John Kingston.
A private graveside service will be held in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
