Phyllis Jean Kennedy

Phyllis Jean (Bastian) Kennedy, 91, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Williamsport Home.

Born August 23, 1932 in Elimsport, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester “Earl” Bastian and former Mary Edna White. On December 14, 1973 she married T. William Kennedy who predeceased her on October 25, 2019. Together they celebrated 45 years of marriage.

Phyllis was a graduate of Montgomery High School.  Early in life she worked at the former Weldon Manufacturing, Muncy, and later retired from the Little League Baseball Headquarters in South Williamsport.

Phyllis enjoyed the outdoors, including flowers and wildlife around her home.  She also loved to read and watch old western movies.

Surviving are one son, Stanley J. Hockenbrock Sr., of Montgomery, daughter-in-law, Becky, and their children, Stanley II (Kimberly), Adrienne Hufford (Anthony) and James Cotner, Jr. (Tiffany); 5 stepchildren, 8 additional grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Bob.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family with burial in St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church Cemetery, Montgomery.
