Ralph C. Poust, 90, formerly of Muncy, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Manor Care South, Williamsport, where he resided the past six months.
Born April 5, 1924 in Hughesville, he was a son of the late Chalmer F. and Bertha (Reese) Poust. In 1942 he married the former Catherine E. Heivly, who preceded him in death on September 19, 2013.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Ralph and his wife owned and operated the former Ralph Poust-Wayne Feed for 30 years. He later worked at Construction Specialties in Muncy until his retirement. Ralph was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Watsontown.
An avid outdoorsman, Ralph possessed a huge passion for gardening, and also enjoyed hunting.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by one sister, Marian West, and three brothers, Clyde, Paul and DeLa Poust.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at noon, officiated by his pastor, Rev. Jerry L. Caswell. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville.
The family will provide the flowers.
