Robert Earl Buck, 91, of Montgomery, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Watsontown Nursing and Rehab.

Born January 31, 1930 in Danville, he was a son of the late Earl and Elizabeth (Turner) Buck. He married the former Lottie Wertz who preceded him in death in 2003.

Robert served honorably in the United States Army and later retired from the former Sprout Waldron, now Andritz, as a machinist, and was part of the quarter century club.  He also worked part time as a butcher.

Robert was a member of the Bower Decker American Legion Post 251, Montgomery.  He was an avid hunter and fishermen, and a former member of the Beagle Club.

Surviving are five children, Robert C. Buck, of Montgomery, Nathan L. Buck, of Duncannon, Nancy L. Hill and her husband, James N., of Montgomery, Peggy L. Marconi and her husband, James S., of Watsontown, and Ruth Buck, of Montgomery; one brother, Carl Buck and his wife, Priscilla; four sisters, Ruth Hoffman, Patsy Clark, Nancy Warner, and Darlene Sharr; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, mom, dad, and step-mom, he was predeceased by one son, David Earl Buck; two daughters, Carol Ann Crawford and Susan Ellen Hakes; and five siblings, Jean, Shirley, Ralph, Larry and Beverly.

At this time no services will be held.
