Roger Scott Gardner, 57, of 700 Tanglewood Rd., Muncy, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born May 8, 1958 in Muncy, he was a son of the late Luther C. and Mary E. (Frantz) Gardner.
Roger was a 1976 graduate of Muncy High School. He worked as a machine operator at Andritz, Muncy for 28 years. Most recently he was assisting his son, Steven, with his tree service.
Roger was a member of the Roland Ritter Post 268, American Legion, Muncy.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed going to the Oak Orchard River fishing in New York State, as well as fishing for trout in Muncy Creek. Roger loved NASCAR and was a fan of Jeff Gordon. He was also fond of racing go carts with his grandchildren and listening to Ted Nugent.
Surviving are a son and his fiancé, Steven Gardner and Sharisse Fuller, of Muncy; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Aaron Fisher, of Elimsport; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Patty Gardner, of Picture Rocks; six grandchildren, Nichole, Hunter, Jaiden, Brynn, Spencer and River; and two nieces and one nephew.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 1, at the Roland Ritter Post 268, American Legion, 515 Legion Rd., Muncy.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, 320 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
